Bieschel published the pseudoscientific book Among Mediums: A Scientist's Quest for Answers (2013) which has said mental mediums such as Leonora Piper communicated with the dead. The book ignored any evidence of fraud in the mediums she wrote about. She has also supported the controversial experiments of Gary Schwartz which have been rejected by the scientific community.
Bieschel has published many pseudoscience articles in parapsychology journals claiming that mediums can contact the dead. Her claims have been rejected by the scientific community and her only supporters are other spiritualists such as Alex Tsakiris and Robert McLuhan.

Precis som jag förväntade mig att vi skulle finna, och det tog mig bara sekunder att hitta hur mycket allvarlig och seriös kritik mot både Julie och institutet som helst, det är helt enkelt bluff hela skiten som vanligt, och ljusår från ett seriöst vetenskapligt test, och alltså har inte någon ännu kunnat bevisa sina paranormala eller mediala påstådda förmågor.
