En skolastiker. Finns det drag av någon mysticism i detta? Inte nödvändigtvis, men jag gissar ändå Bonaventura bara för att komma med ett namn jag aldrig gissat på innan.

Trevligt!

B now shuffled down his upstairs hallway, knowing he was about to be kidnapped by a flying saucer. The hallway was zebra-striped with darkness and moonlight.

Nej, men det är en amerikan som söks. Fast jag vill gärna ha verket också.

Citat:
B looked at the clock on the gas stove. He had an hour to kill before the saucer came. He went into the living room, swinging the bottle like a dinner bell, turned on the television. He came slightly unstuck in time, saw the late movie backwards, then forwards again.

Ett sådant där förhållande till tid. Det passar ju in på protagonisten i Kurt Vonneguts Slakthus 5.

Det stämmer! B står för Billy (Pilgrim).

So it goes!

Precis! Det är nog dags att läsa den igen, tror jag. Men då kanske det är min tur? I så fall kommer ett citat här.

Citat:
Human existence being an hallucination containing in itself the secondary hallucinations of day and night (the latter an insanitary condition of the atmosphere due to accretions of black air) it ill becomes any man of sense to be concerned at the illusory approach of the supreme hallucination known as death

Timothy Leary?

Det skulle det ju nästan kunna vara. Lite brett citat kanske. Jag kanske får begränsa urvalet lite till med ett lite specifikare citat. Kan man författaren kan man namnet på verket och vice versa så vi begär båda.

Citat:
The gross and net result of it is that people who spent most of their natural lives riding iron bicycles over the rocky roadsteads of this parish get their personalities mixed up with the personalities of their bicycle as a result of the interchanging of the atoms of each of them and you would be surprised at the number of people in these parts who are nearly half people and half bicycles...when a man lets things go so far that he is more than half a bicycle, you will not see him so much because he spends a lot of his time leaning with one elbow on walls or standing propped by one foot at kerbstones.
