"Each of the six faces on a cube is painted with one of the colors red, white, blue, or yellow (RWBY)... Now consider cube 2. Although some colors are repeated, no pair of opposite face has the same color (*). Hence we have six ways to place the second cube on top of the first. We can then rotate the second cube without changing either the face on the top of the first cube or the face on the bottom of the second cube. With four possible rotations we may place the second cube on top of the first in as many as 24 different ways. Continuing this argument, we find that there can be as many as 3*24^3 possibilities to consider..."
