Sociopater och narcissister klarar ju, som tidigare påpekats, inte av att konfronteras med egna misstag eller påminnas om sina tillkortakommanden; de reagerar aggressivt och utåtagerande, för att de inte kan hantera detta faktum rationellt och istället blir känslomässigt explosiva mot omgivningen och de som åvittnar dessa misslyckande eller incidenter.
