Klassiskt vad gäller att ta livet av sig själv, ja. För att man orkar inte leva längre. Men kan du ge ett enda exempel på en svårt deprimerad person som tagit livet av hela sin familj?
"By 1959 suicide in Japan had become the single most common source of death for individuals under thirty (Ministry of Welfare, 1960). Suicide, as a matter of fact; has long been second, but with the radical decrease of the death rate from tuberculosis it has now become the single highest cause of death. Also noteworthy in Japan, from the standpoint of culturally prevalent forms of suicide, is the number of group suicides, in which an individual, usually the male head of the family, will kill first his entire family and then himself, or in other situations where the man is absent and a mother will kill first her children and then herself. The reason often given for such group suicides is that the family has reached a state of impoverishment that is not to be endured."
