Predominance of antibody-resistant SARS-CoV-2 variants in vaccine breakthrough cases from the San Francisco Bay Area, California

These findings suggest that vaccine breakthrough cases are preferentially caused by circulating antibody-resistant SARS-CoV-2 variants, and that symptomatic breakthrough infections may potentially transmit COVID-19 as efficiently as unvaccinated infections, regardless of the infecting lineage.

Fully vaccinated were more likely than unvaccinated persons to be infected by variants carrying mutations associated with decreased antibody neutralization

Annars går dom runt ovaxxade om någr månader och det blir svårt att motivera varför.

Och vilka är de hemska "vaccin-resistenta mutationerna" nu då? Jo, delta, lambda och alfa... Det vill säga ALLA som bli infekterade i Sverige blir det med en "vaccin-resistent mutation".

Det finns även andra intressanta slutsatser i rapporten:

We identify 3 cases of breakthrough infection from alpha, all in immunocompromised patients who failed to mount detectable levels of neutralizing antibody to both wild-type and VOC SARS-CoV-2 lineages. We also report 1 case of delta breakthrough infection in a patient who had contracted COVID-19 in 2020 and who had also received the JnJ vaccine. This case, although singular, demonstrates the likely inadequacy of convalescent antibodies generated from prior infection in protecting against future infection, especially against emerging antibody-resistant VOCs, and the reduced effectiveness of the JnJ vaccine relative to the mRNA vaccines against the delta variant".
Du citerar ju en annan studie?? Men du borde läst hela den också:

"Additionally, some of the observed decline may be attributable to the fact that those clinically vulnerable with weaker immune systems were vaccinated longer ago.
[...]
This study has several limitations.[...] This means we cannot estimate secondary attack rates by case and contact vaccination status, and that absolute protective effects of vaccination on transmission may be under-estimated as vaccine-protected uninfected contacts may not have sought testing."

Tydligen läste du inte artikeln.
Du "glömde" citera slutsatsen:

"We have two tools in our toolbox to do this. One is non pharmaceutical interventions such as mask wearing and the whole shebang, and the second is vaccines. From an evolutionary perspective, what is necessary to reduce this (spread) is to vaccinate as many people as possible as fast as possible and across the globe."

De trodde vaccinet skulle ha en större effekt. Man både smittas och kan smitta

Eftersom länken inte relaterade till delta, så citerade jag en annan studie som handlade om delta, men länken blev kvar i skrivbordslådan.

Vi får helt enkelt vänta in den första referensgranskade studien som visar något i någon riktning.
Helst innan sopkvasten börjar gå bland de sjukvårdsanställda.
