Abu Malik was killed on January 24 near Mosul, after being 'specifically targeted' by the U.S.-led forces because of growing concern ISIS may be trying to secure chemical weapons.
Malik had worked at Saddam Hussein's Muthanna chemical weapon production facility - a factory to the north-west of Baghdad known for producing lethal sarin gas.
The factory - which still housed the remnants of about 2,500 rockets filled with sarin and other deadly nerve agents - was seized by ISIS-led Sunni rebels in June last year.

Kurdiska myndigheter i Irak säger att man har bevis för att Islamiska staten (IS) har använt kemvapen. IS ska ha använt klorgas i samband med en självmordsattack i norra Irak.
Säkerhetsrådet i den självstyrande kurdiska regionen i Irak uppger att man har samlat in jord- och tygprover från kläder efter självmordbombningen som ägde rum den 23 januari. Laboratorieprover ska enligt den kurdiska myndigheten visa att ”proverna innehöll nivåer av klor som tyder på att materialet använts i vapen”.
Myndigheten säger att man använt ett EU-certifierat laboratorium i ett land som deltar i den USA-ledda koalition som bekämpar IS.
De kurdiska uppgifterna har inte bekräftats av oberoende källor. Organisationen för förbud mot kemvapen (OPCW) uppger att man inte fått någon begäran från Irak att undersöka användandet av kemvapen.

BAGHDAD — Kurdish authorities in Iraq said Saturday they have evidence that the Islamic State group used chlorine gas as a chemical weapon against peshmerga fighters, the latest alleged atrocity carried out by the extremist organization now under attack in Tikrit.
The allegation by the Kurdistan Region Security Council, stemming from a Jan. 23 suicide truck bomb attack in northern Iraq, did not immediately draw a reaction from the Islamic State group, which holds a third of Iraq and neighboring Syria in its self-declared caliphate. However, Iraqi officials and Kurds fighting in Syria have made similar allegations about the militants using the low-grade chemical weapons against them.
