Jag installerade Ubuntu 8.04 LTS tidigare idag och valde att installera det manuellt eftersom Ubuntu sa att det inte fanns tillräckligt med ledigt diskutrymme när jag försökte installera det automatiskt. Jag installerade det på en partition som är 5GB och på en annan partition har jag XP installerat, men när jag startar datorn finns inte Grub med, dvs. Ubuntu startar automatiskt och jag kan inte komma in i XP. Kan jag installera Grub i efterhand eller måste jag installera om hela Ubuntu, igen? Hur ska jag installera denna gången i så fall?

"Error 13: Invalid or unsupported executable fromat

Nån som vet vad som strejkar? Jag är ganska säker på att windows ligger på hd 0,0 för när jag skriver find /boot/grub/stage1 skriver den ut hd0,0.

Det som jag ser rakt upp och ner är att du använder samma root för ubuntu som du gör för windows... jag skulle testa att skriva typ hd0,1 istället.
Är lite bakis idag så kan dock inte ge några konkreta förslag till hur man lättast tar reda på vilken hd0,x man ska använda. Jag lämnar det till nån annan :P
