September's UFC Fight Night 15 event will feature co-main events with past winners of "The Ultimate Fighter."

A fight between season-six winner Mac Danzig (18-4-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and opponent Clay Guida (23-9 MMA, 3-3 UFC) will be followed by the night's final bout between season-five winner Nate Diaz (9-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) and Josh Neer (24-6-1 MMA, 3-3 UFC).

The Sept. 17 event takes place at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Neb., and the main card airs on Spike TV. The UFC recently announced the night's five televised bouts.

Spike TV Vice President David Schwarz today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that rather than a single main event, the two bouts will be billed as co-main events. (Spike TV often features notable "TUF" alumni in UFC Fight Night and The Ultimate Fighter Finale events.)

Much like the other Spike TV events this year, UFC Fight Night 15's fight card features some solid match-ups. UFC.com recently released the following televised main card (all previously reported here at MMAjunkie.com):

* Mac Danzig vs. Clay Guida
* Houston Alexander vs. Eric Schafer
* Alan Belcher vs. Ed Herman
* Kyle Bradley vs. Joe Lauzon

UFC Fight Night 15 precedes the debut episode of "The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir," the eighth season of the UFC and Spike TV's reality series. The upcoming season, which features light heavyweight and lightweight fighters, features UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and former champ Frank Mir as coaches.

The upcoming card for UFC Fight Night 15 in Omaha, Neb. is filling up quickly as the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Thursday announced a middleweight contest between American Top Team fighter Wilson Gouveia and veteran competitor Jeremy Horn.

Gouveia made a strong statement in the UFC’s light heavyweight division defeating tough opponents such as Jason Lambert and Carmelo Marrero before losing his most recent match-up to Croatian fighter Goran Reljic.

Now, Gouveia looks to get back on track against a crafty veteran in Horn, who has fallen on unfortunate times as of late.

After amassing an incredible record over his career, Horn has struggled mightily of late, dropping three of his last four fights, most notably his last two in the UFC to Nate Marquardt and then to Dean Lister.

Horn hopes to get back on track facing Gouveia in a middleweight showdown at UFC Fight Night 15, which airs live on Spike TV as the lead-in to the eighth season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

Jag tycker att Jeremy Horn har sett väldigt oinspirerad de senaste matcherna. Det kanske är hans stil men det känns inte som han varken tränar särskilt hårt eller har någon intensitet i matcherna. På något sätt så känns han som en journeyman som bara är där för att casha in stålar och få motståndarna att se hyfsat bra ut. Hans status kan nästan liknas vid det av en "jobber" i wrestlingen.

Thales Leites has confirmed that he will face Dean Lister at Ultimate Fight Night 15.

“I didn’t signed the contract yet, but it’s confirmed”, Leites told Tatame. “It’s a tough fight, he’s a dangerous guy but I’ll be prepared for everything. I know he will try to put me down and everything can happen, but I have a good stand up game and it’s the perfect fight for it. He’s a dangerous guy on the ground, tries to put you down, but doesn’t do it very well. He’s dangerous if he tries to catch your feet you put you on the triangle position, but that’s good for me, I’m not worried about it."

Two of the UFC's most promising middleweight prospects, Rob Kimmons (27-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and reigning IFL middleweight champion Dan Miller (8-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC), will meet in September at UFC Fight Night 15.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) confirmed with sources close to Kimmons that the fight has been accepted and bout agreements distributed. However, Miller's manager wasn't immediately available for comment.

The middleweight bout takes place Sept. 17 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Neb. -- most likely on the night's un-aired preliminary card.

Kimmons, a Midwest-based fighter who's the head instructor at the Kansas City Xtreme Couture gym, had dominated in many of the country's top regional promotions before earning his invitation to the UFC. He made his octagon debut in June (as a late replacement for an injured Alessio Sakara) and scored a first-round submission victory over Rob Yundt at The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale.

It was Kimmon's 12th victory in his past 13 fights. (In fact his only career losses have come to UFC vets Joe Riggs, Marvin Eastman and Ryan Jensen).

As MMAjunkie.com first reported last week, the UFC recently signed Dan Miller (and his brother, Jim Miller), who will take on Kimmons. Dan recently won the IFL middleweight title with a first-round submission victory over Ryan McGivern. It was just his second fight in the IFL; he debuted with the organization in August 2007 with a submission win over Dave Phillips.

Miller, who is also the middleweight champion for Cage Fury Fighting, has a strong wrestling base and has scored five of his eight career victories via submission.

As first reported exclusively here at MMAScoops.com, the UFC has signed Team Bombsquad member Mike Massenzio.

MMAScoops.com has since learned from a source close to the fight that Massenzio will face Drew McFedries at UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs. Neer.

The show will likely be televised live on SpikeTV and will take place on September 17 in Omaha, Nebraska.
