McGraw says for years, an array of federal agencies has taken the issue seriously while credible sources have been discouraged from sharing information.
“We’ve seen lots of people talking about UFOs and things like that, but they were always people that were too drunk to fish,” he said. “And they have hidden away credible people that were talking about things that would move the needle.”
The latest batch of UFO files follow a directive from President Trump to identify UAP records that can be released to the public. Some disclosure advocates call that progress but say it still doesn’t answer the question whether the government knows definitively that nonhuman intelligence exists.
“I think there are going to be continuing disclosures,” McGraw said. “I’m saying, ‘Why hide this from the private sector?’ We have scientists, we have leading university researchers that can dig into this. Why keep this from the American public?”
McGraw said the government should be “open” about UFOs while putting it “in a context.”
