Fem gripna för terrorbrott i Finland 2024-11-21

Fem personer har gripits misstänkta för terrorbrott i Finland, rapporterar Hufvudstadsbladet.

De uppges ha gripits i början av veckan. Polisen yrkar på att de häktas.

– Polisen misstänker att mannen med bas i Finland har drivit sina strävanden med medel som lett till våld mot civilpersoner och myndigheter samt till andra brott i sydöstra Nigeria.

Simon Ekpa, a Finnish citizen of Nigerian origin, says he leads a faction in exile of the Indigenous People of Biafra and describes himself as the "prime minister of the Biafra Republic Government-in-Exile".
Ekpa lives in Lahti city, north of the Finnish capital, Helsinki, where he serves as a local representative for Finland's conservative National Coalition Party, according to the AFP news agency.
