Krafft skal ha blitt erklært død på sykehus etter at han ble pågrepet av polsk politi fredag kveld.

Krafft var i Polen på grunn av sin satsing som toppspiller i amerikansk fotball. I april ble han hentet til Panthers Wrochlaw.

Den polske klubben gikk også ut på Facebook med dødsfallet lørdag.

«I morges fikk vi en sjokkerende informasjon om at spilleren vår, Leo Krafft, døde i går kveld.

28 år gamle Leo, som kommer fra Norge, signerte for oss i april og var en av de viktigste medlemmene i laget som konkurrerte i European League of Football. Vi er forbløffet og dypt beveget over dette faktum.

At 10pm, police received a report about a man disturbing order. It was a 28-year-old Norwegian - Leo Krafft. Police reports show that he had drunk alcohol before and was taking drugs, which he himself gave to the uniformed. He also pointed to the place where marijuana and amphetamine lay.

Wojciech Jabłoński adds that during the intervention the 28-year-old became aggressive - he did not comply with orders, jerked and snatched.

- Due to the psychophysical state in which he was and subsequent breathing problems, the uniforms called for the place of paramedics to jointly continue their activities in a way that guarantees maximum safety. When the Medical Rescue Team arrived, the man was still strongly stimulated and, therefore, the medics decided to use sedatives. Unfortunately, after receiving them, he began to faint and lost consciousness. Therefore, professional cardiopulmonary resuscitation was initiated and his life activities were restored. The 28-year-old was taken by one of the Wrocław hospitals by the ambulance, where he unfortunately died after more than an hour - says the policeman.
