Hittar ingen tråd på temat om dessa fäkt- och svärdsvingande filmer, så varför inte. En genre som hade sin storhetstid förr, då mycket förknippade med Douglas Fairbanks och Errol Flynn. Får väl sägas ha fått en viss revival pga Pirates of the Caribbean-barnfilmerna med Johnny Depp, vilket gör att man kan hoppas att några av dagens barn börjar intressera sig för äldre filmer på samma team.

Fram t.o.m 80-talet finns det en hel del sevärt bland titlarna. Årligen visas ju Ivanhoe (1982) på TV(finns hos Viaplay) varvid Sam Neill ger sig ut på Twitter och bråkar med svenskar, men för den som vill värma upp med lite äldre grejer så har jag precis sett 2st sevärda swashbucklers på Netflix som gett mersmak, franska färggranna La Tour, prends garde! (1958) och brittiska The Moonraker (1958):

Har även haft Ivanhoe (1952) och Krull (1983) nerladdade i flera år men inte kommit för mig att se dom, kanske kan ta det ihop med nyare Ivanhoe runt nyår.
Inte tillräckligt mycket svärdsvingande för att det ska klassas som en swashbuckler, men Bonnie Prince Charlie (1948) med David Niven i huvudrollen kan ändå vara intressant att se.
