Snubblade precis över detta makabra fall. Polisen larmades i januari i år till en bostad i Luisiana av en kvinna som påstår att hennes doter är död. När de kommer dit hittar de en kvinna som uppenbarligen dött av långvarig extrem vanvård. Hon är underviktig, täckt i i sin egen avföring och urin, har stora trycksår som på vissa ställen är så djupa att skelettet blottats och kroppen sitter fast i soffan där hon hittas. Hon misstänks ha lidit av autism och locked in syndrome, och man tror att hon suttit i soffan i åtminstone 12 år (det finns liksom en stor urgröpning i soffan efter hennes kropp). Hennes föräldrar är nu misstänkta för dråp och second degree murder. Riktigt obehagligt fall det här, och jag undrar hur i hela friden hennes föräldrar kunnat leva ett vanligt liv som om inget har hänt med en dotter som i princip ruttnar bort levande i soffan i vardagsrummet.
