Office 2016 EOL?

IT-avd på mitt bygge har gått ut med att Office 2016, från 13 oktober inte längre uppdateras, varken på Mac eller PC, men jag tvivlar på att detta stämmer? Någon annan med bättre insikt?

Er IT verkar inte hålla sig ajour med verkligheten.
