Tegnell is being optimistic. The meaningful majority of IgG antibodies present within 14 days whereas the median time to death is 23.8 days. If IgM antibodies have been tested for this will be a greater divide. Deaths always lag behind antibodies forming, so while yes — this test measures from three weeks (99.9% present antibodies after 3 weeks I believe) to a few days before testing, that period of time is not reflective of the true death count. You’ll have to count the nine day time lapse between the majority of antibodies forming and the time to death.
Also worth noting the specificity/sensitivity of the test will have skewed results high.
I think Tegnells kind of "optimism" was revealed in his bodylanguage, and it just functions to makes people nervous.
Anyway, the IFR in Sweden is probably in reality the same as in Spain, around 1% give or take. Exactly as it was before all this "optimism" came about.
And FHM has realized this as they admitted today that
a lot of people will never get the disease, in contradiction of earlier statements about everybody will get the disease anyway.
