Residents of the Kursk region of russia that have been evacuated will be sent to the occupied territories of Ukraine
Russians evacuated from Kursk will be sent to the Zaporizhia Oblast of Ukraine, occupied by Russian troops, said the acting governor of Kursk Oblast Alexey Smirnov.
"The first departures to deliver people to temporary accommodation points in Zaporizhia Oblast will be completed soon. Zaporizhia volunteers have also arrived in Kursk Oblast, who will provide assistance to residents here, on the spot," Smirnov wrote on his VKontakte page. According to him, the displaced persons from Kursk Oblast will be placed in sanatoriums and boarding houses on the shores of the Sea of Azov from the city of Berdyansk to the village of Kirillovka.
However, not all displaced persons liked this idea. "Zaporizhia Oblast is a region that lives under martial law. It would be logical to take people beyond the Urals, etc.," one of them noted in a comment to Smirnov's post. "Are hotels in the Zaporizhia region standing idle without tourists? And here you have the option of 100% occupancy + clients will not demand a high level of service, and the state will pay the owners fairly and a lot, and as for the shooting there, well, that's a trifle," another user wrote.
