Btw if you really have been in contact with social services before, the law in Sweden kind of says that you should receive a response within 24 hrs. Now, this is allowed to be a very vague response like "thanks for your email, we wil look into the matter in due course" but if you really received NO response at all, that is more or less in violation of the law.
It's probably a good idea if you communicate with the social services in writing, and any phone calls you make, follow up with an e-mail, so that there's paper trail. That would keep the bureaucrats on their toes.
