It turns out that the strategy to update old machines, that was chosen to meet demands of airlines, has greatly increased sales and production for Boeing.
The report pointed out that Boeing's approach was to change a design that the company made 50 years ago. But that choice have also damaged the company's reputation. Since its launch, the US Federal Aviation Administration has not required pilots of the "updated" 737 to re-train in simulator.
Some engineers broke the news. "The 737 was the most advanced technology at the time, but that was 50 years ago. Under the current conditions, it is not a good aircraft."
The report pointed out that when piloting the MAX series, the pilots must open the paper operation manuals and check each other when there are problems.
According to the report, the investigators suspect that the main cause of the two plane crashes may be the anti-stall function designed for MAX to compensate for the larger engines.
