Okey.
What happens if, for example, you cannot pay the property tax? (If you lose your job)?

The state confiscate your shit and sell it at auction.

What do you think?
Eventually, if you can't pay your bills, you will be forced to sell your house

Is it possible for someone from another country, like the UK, to come to Sweden and buy a house, even if they do not intend to live in it permanently, maybe rent it out, while they remain living in the UK?

So is there no type of benefit available, welfare etc, to stop this from occurring? Maybe some kind of housing benefit for people on a low income?

Before getting welfare they will typically tell you to sell all your crap first and live off of it. Then you can get housing benefits for rental apartments.

So, if I understand correctly, you cannot claim housing benefit for houses you own (only apartments you rent)?

Starting to get a bit unwilling to help you.
You want to buy a house but also want the swedish taxpayers to 'sponsor' you.
Nah, I'm out

Okey.

If someone from the UK wanted to move to Sweden, could they buy a house first, BEFORE receiving a job offer, and live in the house while they look for a job?

Do they need a work visa or person number from migrationsverket BEFORE buying a house and moving to Sweden?

How would this work?

As long as you live in the EU you can live wherever you want for as long as you want if can support yourself. No visa, work visa or whatever needed.
