Klädda kort vända åt olika håll. Anledning?

Hej. Vi har suttit här på morgonen och funderat över varför de klädda korten är vända åt olika håll. Alltså inte det att de går att vända upp/ner, utan att tex att alla kungar tittar åt vänster förutom spader kung. Alla i varje familj tittar åt samma håll förutom klöver, där knekten tittar åt höger medan de andra är vända åt vänster.

Detta är baserat på vår kortlek här och diverse bildgooglingar. Det har varit så på de vi sett, men kolla gärna egna lekar och se ifall det stämmer.. Finns det någon anledning/tradition som ligger bakom detta?

Här har vi nån som har liiite för mycket fritid ser jag Känns som att det mer är slumpen som gjort att det blivit så. Drog en snabb Googling, och där såg jag inget speciellt mönster. Jack of clubs kollade både åt höger och vänster.

Det har faktiskt med största sannolikhet en symbolisk betydelse, vår kortlek är baserad på tarotkortleken och det finns en hel del symboliska betydelser i den.
T.ex. så är hela kortleken indelade efter ett kalenderår,
du har 52 kort (52 veckor)
du har fyra sviter (4 kvartal, eller årstider om man så vill)
summan av samtliga kort är 364+1 (365 dagar på ett år)
osv.

Sen symboliserar alla klädda kort en faktisk person, jag har för mig att klöver kung är Napoleon och Caesar är Ruter kung, men jag minns inte detta på rak arm. Finns säker på wikipedia eller nåt.
