"First you will need to enter your BIOS. This can be done by pressing a set key at system startup. This key varies from pc to pc. Some known keys are Del, F1, F6, F8. Alot of times the key is also displayed on screen at startup.
Once you have gotten into BIOS, navigate your way through, using Enter key to select menus, Esc key to go back, and up and down arrows to move up or down. You can also use left and right arrow keys to move to a different tab or next menu.
Again I dont know what your looks like, but look for something along the lines of "Power On By PS/2 Keyboard". It may say "Disabled" next to this. Hit Enter key to reveal a menu and change this setting. There could be several options like:
Disabled
Spacebar
Ctrl-Esc
Power Key
You would chose Spacebar with the up and down arrow keys and then press Enter.
Once you have found and changed this setting. You can repeatedly press Esc until you get a small box asking you if you want to quit and save. You can type Y and press Enter. Computer will restart normally.
If you are unfamiliar with BIOS, any changes you make can be reversed. You can also leave without saving to keep things the same. There is also a setting to reset it to the original factory default, so don't be to afraid navigating through here." (
