What Was the Most Memorable Meal of Your Entire Travel Life?

Not the fanciest; the one you remember.

Maybe a roadside stall, a grandma cooking in her home, or something you tried without knowing the name.

What was it?

Smoked salmon in BC.

One of the best meals I've ever had was at the Delhi Darbar in Bombay. Fantastic food and staff. This was some 20 years ago, so can't vouch for it now.

And, the Indian restaurant on top of Rembrandt hotel in Bangkok was very memorable, especially because they had a bollywood live band and the played some of our favorites on demand.

Best beverage

* Freshly pressed juice from a stand in Cartagena, Colombia. It made all the expensive juices in Sweden taste like sewage water in comparison.

Most memorable meal

* A slowly grilled goat in Tanzania. People cued to carve out their own meat for dinner, when it was my turn, it was mostly the head left...

Worst meal

* A rib eye at a fancy hotel in Vegas. The price was around 100 USD plus all the trimmings. It was nicely cooked, but lacked all flavor, and for the price it was utterly disappointing. This was more than 15 years ago.

Foie gras (and red wine to drink) in France.
