Låt oss gå tillbaka 12 år och föreställa oss att du är en ukrainare som bor 2012. Jag undrar om någon förutspådde att det skulle bli krig i Ukraina 2024 och hundratusentals människor skulle dö.
Jag tittade på en YouTube-video med ukrainare som jublade inför EM 2012, och det gav mig gåshud att föreställa mig ett krig som bröt ut 10 år senare och hundratusentals människor dör.

Jag tolkar det som om putin då trodde att NorthStream skulle försäkra honom om att Merkel och Västeuropa i största allmänhet skulle acceptera ryssland som en stormakt och inte blanda sig i "interna angelägenheter" som till exempel ockupationen av Krim.
Och putin hade rätt i det.
