‼️ LATEST UPDATES ON THE ABDUCTION OF HEIRESS ELIZA FLETCHER **Please SHARE as she has not been found**

Police have now seized the dumpster belonging to Eliza's Fletcher's abductor, 38 year old Cleotha "Pookie" Abston. Abston was waiting in a parking lot for 24 minutes before abducting Eliza. Yesterday, police towed away the Fletcher's family vehicle, a computer, and a pair of gardening shears from Eliza's home, and tagged as evidence.

For those of you following the abduction of Eliza Fletcher from Memphis Tennessee... Here are all of the latest details. I will be updating as new details become available. Multiple outlets out of Memphis have obtained the arrest affidavit.

Eliza Fletcher was violently abducted Friday morning at 4:20 am while on her morning jog. The abduction was caught on camera.

Eliza Fletcher, 34, is a married mother of two and Pre-Kindergarten teacher. She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph “Joe” Orgill III, a Memphis hardware businessman, philanthropist, founder of a multi-billion dollar company. She's been married to Richie Fletcher for 8 years.

Police said a man was riding his bike down Central Avenue at 6:45 a.m. when he found Fletcher’s cell phone and a pair of Champion brand slides. The items were later turned over to Memphis Police for testing and analysis.
Police said surveillance footage showed a man approach Eliza before forcing her into the passenger side of a GMC Terrain with passenger-side tail light damage.

According to police, the abductor's vehicle sat in the parking lot for 4 minutes before driving away. Records also state the GMC Terrain in question was seen 24 minutes before the abduction in surveillance footage.

The TBI performed a DNA tests on the slides and found that they belonged to Cleotha Abston after his information matched that in the CODIS.

Investigators found surveillance footage showing Cleotha Abston wearing the same slides days prior to the abduction. The owner of the cleaning service where Abston worked gave detectives his phone number, and police were able to use pings to place the phone at the kidnapping scene at approximately the same time it happened.

When authorities arrived at Abston’s last known address, they found the GMC Terrain in question, with passenger-side tail light damage backed into a parking space. He tried to flee when police arrived, but was captured.

Investigators also interviewed a woman who said after the abduction, Abston was behaving in an odd manner. The witness advised investigators Abston was in an odd mood and vigourously cleaning the interior of his car with carpet cleaner as well as washing his clothes in the house’s sink.

According to police records, “As the abduction was violent with, as captured on video, the suspect waiting for, then rushing toward the victim, then forcing the victim into the vehicle, where she was confined and removed and continues to be missing, it is believed and supported by the facts and physical evidence that she suffered serious injury. Further, it is probable and apparent from witness statements that these injuries left evidence, e.g. blood, in the vehicle that the Defendant cleaned.”

Cleotha Abston is a lifetime criminal. In 2001 he plead guilty to kidnapping a local attorney and forcing him to withdraw money from an ATM. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison and was released in 2020. Abston is refusing to reveal Eliza's location.

‼️ KIDNAPPED MOTHER OF TWO, ELIZA FLETCHER, WAS FOUND BEHIND A VACANT APARTMENT COMPLEX

The body that was found last night at the 1600 block of Victor Street has been identified as missing mother of two, Eliza Fletcher. Investigators zeroed in on this area around 5 pm. Abston had dumped her body behind a vacant duplex apartment. It's within walking distance of the Longview Gardens Apartments on S. Orleans Street in South Memphis. Her kidnapper, Cleotha Abston, had been staying there with his brother Mario. Eliza's cause of death has not been released yet.

The Pre-Kindergarten teacher was violently abducted Friday morning, September 2nd, at 4:20 am while on her morning jog on Central Street and Zach H Curlin St on the University of Memphis campus. The abduction was caught on camera.

The St. Mary's Episcopal School, where Eliza Fletcher worked as a kindergarten teacher, is "heartbroken" over the news that Fletcher was found dead.

"We are heartbroken at the loss of our beloved teacher, colleague, and friend Liza Fletcher," the school said. "Our hearts are with the Fletcher, Orgill, and Wellford families." "Liza embodied the song that we sing every week in Early Childhood chapel, 'This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine,'" the school said. They called Eliza "a bright light in our community".

Eliza Fletcher, 34, is a married mother of two. She's been married to her husband, Richie for 8 years. She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph “Joe” Orgill III, a Memphis hardware businessman, philanthropist, founder of a multi-billion dollar company. She has two small boys and teaches at St. Mary’s Episcopal School in Memphis.

Around 7 pm ET on Monday night, investigators pulled up a mobile command center and taped off multiple blocks around the Longview Gardens low income apartments where Cleotha's brother, Mario lives. Cleotha had been staying with his brother Mario for most of the past month. The FBI and over a dozen police officers closed off the street and set up crime scene tape.

Witnesses at Mario's apartment complex reported that after the abduction, Cleotha Abston was behaving in an odd manner. The witness advised investigators Abston was in an odd mood and vigourously cleaning the interior of his car with carpet cleaner as well as washing his clothes in the house’s sink. Investigators removed a dumpster and searched a dumpster at a nearby McDonalds on Saturday September 3rd. Based on the evidence found in the vehicle, they believed that Eliza suffered serious injuries.

On Friday, September 2nd, the abductor's vehicle sat in the parking lot for 4 minutes before driving away. Records also state the GMC Terrain in question was seen in the area 24 minutes before the abduction in surveillance footage. During the abduction, Cleotha smashed Eliza's cell phone on the ground and left a pair of Champion slides at the scene.

The TBI performed a DNA tests on the slides and found that they belonged to Cleotha Abston after his information matched that in CODIS.

Cleotha Abson's neighbors described him as a pervert who was constantly scoping women and hitting them up for sexual favors in exchange for money. He would often sit in his black, GMC Terrain and stare at women passing by and quietly walk up behind them. They described him as strange and that he showed stalker like behavior towards females. One witness stated he tried to lure a 20 year old into his apartment.

Abston, 38, is being held in the Shelby County Jail on $500,000 bail and appeared in court today. He's now been charged with first-degree murder, premeditated murder, murder in perpetration of kidnapping, kidnapping, tampering with evidence, especially aggravated kidnapping. Abston told the judge he cannot pay the $500k bond and was appointed a public defender.
