Att artikeln drogs in beror mest sannolikt på att situationen på marken inte alls matchade innehållet och tonen i artikeln. Så det skulle bli löjligt att behålla artikeln. De hade tagit ut segern i förskott.

Hade Ryssland tagit över Kyiv och Zelensky flytt Ukraina, vid denna tidpunkt, då hade saken varit en annan. Då hade nog artikeln överlevt och funnits kvar än idag.
Men Ryssland körde in i väggen i Kyiv och Zelensky stack ingenstans - då blir exempelvis en mening som "
Now this problem is gone — Ukraine has returned to Russia" väldigt fel.
Inget problem var borta. Ukraina hade inte återvänt till Ryssland. Och för Rysslands del hade en mängd nya problem - som skulle vara i åratal - bara börjat...
