Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant among vaccinated

We found viral loads of breakthrough Delta variant infection cases peaked around 2-3 days before and after the development of symptoms, and were 251 times higher than those of the infected cases detected during the early phase of the pandemic in 2020

There was no correlation between vaccine-induced neutralizing
antibody levels and viral loads or the development of symptoms.
Interpretation: Breakthrough Delta variant infections are associated with high viral loads,
prolonged PCR positivity, and low levels of vaccine-induced neutralizing antibodies,

The absence of correlation between neutralizing antibody levels and peak viral
loads suggested that vaccine might not lower the infectivity of breakthrough cases

At week 2 and 3 after diagnosis, neutralizing antibody levels of the case patients
significantly increased, and were higher than neutralizing antibody levels measured at
week 2 after the second dose of the 62 matched uninfected controls

Yet, we found prolonged PCR positivity was up to 33 days in our study participants. These factors might explain the current rapid expansion of the Delta variant, even in the countries with high vaccination coverage.

En befolkning där nästan 70% är fullvaccinerade borde väl minska smittspridningen lite såvida inte de vaccinerade även smittar.

Du cherrypickar ganska rejält i din skrämselpropaganda. Man borde exempelvis nämna att det gäller genombrottsinfektioner, som exempelvis rapporterades häromdagen i Danmark till 0,26%. Du får det att låta som att det är värre än det är, ungefär som att det gäller alla vaccinerade. Dina 251 ggr högre virusnivåer gäller jämfört med tidigare virusvarianter och har inget med vaccination att göra, även infekterade som inte är vaccinerade avger dessa höga nivåer av virus när det gäller deltavarianten.
