Till alla deltagare som struntar i forumreglerna och skitpostar en massa off topic-trams, så vill jag återigen påminna er om att ni har hundratals andra trådar på forumet där ni fritt kan framföra klagomål på allt hos Ryssland som får er att känna er arga, ledsa, förödmjukade och bittra. Just den här tråden behandlar dock frågeställningen "Varför går det så bra för Ryssland?". För den som inte vill ta till sig det faktum att det går bra för Ryssland eller inte har någon teori om varför, så är det fritt fram att avstå från att posta inlägg i den här tråden.

How Russian firms use international risk-sharing to mitigate the effects of sanctions

The recent economic sanctions imposed on Russia and several other countries, including Syria, Iran, Venezuela, and North Korea, have reignited interest in the use of sanctions as a tool of foreign policy. While numerous studies have debated the effectiveness of sanctions on Russia, particularly during the initial phase in 2014, opinions remain divided. This column introduces a novel approach by which Russian firms might mitigate sanction risks by collaborating with partner countries that maintain friendly relations with Russia. The authors show that Russian firms exposed to sanctions in 2014 successfully leveraged these international connections to lessen the adverse effect of sanctions.

The only difference is that we speak honestly and openly about it,” Szijjarto said after the session of the 15th Russian-Hungarian intergovernmental commission on economic issues.

Antony Blinken, America’s Secretary of State, was unusually blunt on a recent visit to Europe: “One of the reasons that [Vladimir] Putin is able to continue this aggression is because of the provision of support from the People’s Republic of China,” he said. China was, he added, “the biggest supplier of machine tools, the biggest supplier of microelectronics, all of which are helping Russia sustain its defence industrial base”. In return Russia has provided China with submarine, missile and other military technology. Separately, America says that Iran has been busy sending Russia hundreds of short-range ballistic missiles.
These revelations are examples of the growing military-industrial ties between China, Iran, North Korea and Russia.
