Dyrt håller jag med om, men svårt att få tag på? Finns gott om firmor som säljer stål och det brukar sällan vara några problem att köpa mindre mängder utav lokala plåtslagar/smidesfirmor.
But dealing with them for supplies poses some real limitation. Stores with an assortment of steel are not that common, no. Those that deal with steel are focused on B2B. It's not as easy as say a visit to Tractor Supply in the US.
Sometimes I wish I lived in India next to the shipbreakers, cheap Acetylene too..or atleast that Stena Metall would open their gates for a little picking
