Den första och sista meningen är korrekt, bestämd form och obestämd form. Används i olika sammanhang. Vill du klargöra för någon att det sover
en katt under sängen och inte flera, så används den bestämda formen (första meningen). Vill du beskriva att det sover en katt under sängen oavsett om det finns andra djur med i bilden eller andra katter som också sover, då använder du den sista meningen som är i obestämd form.
Ett exempel på hur man kan använda den sista meningar är,
Under the bed there's a cat sleeping together with my dog.
Meningen i mitten klargör ett verb. Vad gör katten?
Under the bed a cat sleeps.
