Aicha, the short internet video

Aicha is also a short video and Internet phenomenon featuring a Belgian teenage boy named Jelle Buelens, known by his internet alias "Gellieman", singing the song "Aicha" by Algerian singer Khaled as performed by Outlandish. The video is part of a culture which has swept the internet, with pieces like Star Wars Kid, William Hung and the Numa Numa video enjoying huge popularity, largely because they involve humiliation and embarrassment on the part of the subject. However, unlike William Hung and the Star Wars Kid it seems that "Gellieman" was deliberately making a comedy video, based on submissions made by him since then. Also, the Numa Numa video and the Star Wars Kid video had serious consequences in the private lives of Gary Brolsma and Ghyslain Raza respectively, whereas Gellieman received lots of positive feedback, but nothing intrusive.
