The EU will provide Ukraine with €1.5 billion per month in 2025 from frozen Russian assets, according to European Council President Antonio Costa.
“This month, the European Union will allocate an additional €4.2 billion to support Ukraine’s budget. Starting next month, we’ll provide €1.5 billion monthly for an entire year. These funds come from frozen Russian assets and can also be used for military purposes,” Costa stated.
He added that the EU remains committed to pressuring Russia’s economy and is already preparing its 15th sanctions package to weaken Russia’s capacity to continue the war in Ukraine.
