Det enda försvaret jag kan tänka mig mot att han avsiktligen ska ha uppviglat till statskupp är att mena att Trump vid tillfället redan var så dement att han inte förstod vad han sade. Men det är ett väldigt svagt försvar som jag inte tror att någon, varken hans motståndare eller anhängare köper. Det är möjligen bara hans advokater i kommande rättegången som kan tänkas tillgripa det.
