Massiva ryska förluster i den pågående ukrainska offensiven:
🇺🇦Ukraine Resists Russian Genocide... Yeah Again

Jodå, twittraren är seriös och har artiklar publicerade i Kyiv Post. En artikel från i mars då han skriver om att halva ryska armén är förintad. Märkligt att det öht finns något kvar av den:
Half of Putin’s Army Is Dead or Out of Action
With over 660,000 killed or wounded, the disintegrating Russian military has just hit a new and unenviable milestone: It’s officially combat ineffective.

Ukrainian forces advanced 5-10 km in the Zaporizhya region in the past day and inflicted 18,000-19,000 casualties on enemy forces in southern Ukraine over the past week (4,500-5,000 killed and another 13,700-14,500 wounded), according to the site Volya, which cites Ukrainian and Russian security sourceshttps://twitter.com/ArmedMaidan/status/1667587501790208002?s=20
Those numbers, which are roughly in line with Ukrainian official estimates of Russian losses, mean nearly a quarter of the 85,000 Russian troops in southern Ukraine were put out of action in a week, Volya says
Ukraine has yet to commit most of its forces available for the counteroffensive to battle, while Russia on the other hand has already deployed about 75% of its reserves to close gaps emerging in its front and reinforce its retreating forces, the site says
Ukraine is said to have focused in the first several days of action on heavily targeting Russian artillery (Ukraine estimates it has destroyed 181 enemy artillery and MLRS systems since June 4), forcing many surviving artillery units to be withdrawn to the rear, and has now turned to striking enemy logistics, which has resulted in supply problems for enemy forces
"Russian artillery is now more concerned with survival than with covering fire for its infantry or destroying targets in the Ukrainian rear," Volya says

Here's a post on why Ukrainian estimates of Russian losses are likely realistic

Russia may have just achieved a gruesome new claim to fame in its war in Ukraine. Of some 800,000 Russian troops who were part of the initial invasion army or recruited since then for the war, nearly 420,000 (over 52 percent) could now be dead or otherwise out of action due to wounds.https://www.kyivpost.com/post/14881
That breaks down as follows:
· 166,570 Russian troops killed.
· 499,700 wounded (including 150,000 still getting medical care and 100,000 permanently disabled).
The figures are based on calculations using data from Ukrainian, independent Russian, and Western sources for combat casualties and the rate at which soldiers typically return to combat after being wounded.
