We have to make fundamental changes to our societies’ –

“Our safety as a species is on a collision course with our current systems... the longer we pretend that this is not the case, the longer we pretend that we can solve this catastrophe within a global societal structure that has no laws or restrictions whatsoever protecting us longterm from the ongoing self-destructive greed that has brought us to the very edge of this precipice, the more time we will waste.”

Thunberg is now calling out world leaders for creating “loopholes” and “benefited the destructive industries”.

“The forces of greed and profit and planetary destructions are so powerful that our fight for the natural world is limited to a desperate struggle to avoid a total natural catastrophe. We should be fighting for people and for nature, but instead we are fighting against those who are set on destroying it. Today our political leaders are allowed to say one thing then do the exact opposite.”

And I thought Glastonbury couldn't get any worse....WRONG!!!

Did she walk there? If not could she not have addressed the masses via zoom, so as not to impact the planet/environment, or was there another motive to be there....just asking?!

I hope you all thank her for tripling your utility and fuel bills.

I've been to Glastonbury twice. Had a great time but there is so much hypocrisy amongst the typical attendee. Never have I seen such disgusting mess left in so short a time. Seas of trash, tents and allsorts abandonded. Not to mention all the dropped drugs seeping into the soil and littering the grass. Waving a flag is one thing. Making actual positive changes in your life is a very distant other.

Hopefully she will be there the day after to see and help clean up the shocking mess left by the revellers... look forward to her comments !!!

Thunberg was introduced on stage by Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis, who called her "the most inspirational speaker of her generation

Her appearance was warmly received by the crowd, who joined her in a chant of "climate justice" at the end of her speech
