The bizarre declaration was made by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy in a listing of Trump's accomplishments since taking office.
It read: "From the outset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Administration has taken decisive actions to engage scientists and health professionals in academic, industry, and government to understand, treat and defeat the disease."
But officials on the White House coronavirus taskforce are reportedly upset at the claim - with one calling it "mind-boggling".

Det är verkligen bisarrt men begripligt att Trump gör såhär nu.
Allt pekar på att USA är påväg in i en ny tung fas av pandemin och det är särskilt tydligt i swingstates
