Tror ni vi får en andra våg i höst?
Intressant är ju hur många som har antikroppar. (Verkar vara långt ifrån vad som krävs för att skapa flockimmunitet). Intressant är också immunitet på annat vis såsom teorin om t-celler. Har vissa människor annan form av immunitet?
I andra länder bland annat Italien och Spanien hävdar många inom vården att viruset tycks vara "klenare" nu. Att de som blir sjuka idag inte blir lika sjuka. Att viruset på något sätt skulle muterat. På ett sätt logiskt då man funnit över 40 strängar av viruset. De elakaste tar död på de som smittats i högre utsträckning. De inte fullt lika elaka tar då överhanden och kan fortsätta att spridas. Men det är väl mest teorier.
Vi får se vad som händer i höst när skolor och arbetsplatser öppnar upp efter semestrar. Ny våg eller inte?
Yes. The really interesting thing is that we don’t really know how many people have been infected in Sweden. Just that it’s obviously less than the national reports have shown, considering how faulty the tests are (and with such a high specificity it cannot be more, only less — 92.7% / 99.9%).
I believe the viral loads people are exposed to are lessened in the summer season. The R0 drops and the immune system is stronger. But I believe we’ll see the reverse become true during winter.
I believe the study dismissing cross-reactive T-cells will be expanded upon further and we’ll find this to be true. Those antibodies aren’t even neutralizing for the virus they are originally developed for.
I also believe we’ll develop stronger antibody assays that will find antibodies in asymptomatic patients after they have dropped below measurable rates in a population. I yet again do not believe in adaptive immunity for this virus. I believe these people seroconverted and current tests simply cannot find the antibodies.
Here’s a very recent study that finds 87/87 patients (ranging in severity from asymptomatic to very mild to severe) seroconvert:

This is just further confirmation of a lot of previous papers and shows the results are yet again reproducible. If current tests cannot pick up on these antibody levels after a few months is a different story — but I believe the immunity (hopefully) remains. Time will tell on that regard, and in terms of a second wave, time will also tell there, too.
