FOI publicerade en rapport i veckan som av allt att döma är skriven innan Turkiets anfall, och även innan Istanbul-bomben för den delen. Informativ och objektiv läsning. Om man är allergisk mot att SDF kallas för SDF, trots att de beskrivs som en offshoot till PKK, så kan jag dock inte rekommendera den.

The main Turkish opposition parties have floated ideas for a change in the Syria policy, urging negotiations with Damascus on refugee repatriation. The idea seems to be popular among Turkish voters, and it also enjoys support from some of the president’s own allies. Erdoğan’s own view has long been that the refugees should return to the “safe zones” that Turkey has carved out in northern Syria, where Turkish authorities and aid groups are producing large numbers of low-cost housing units to facilitate resettlement.
