Absolutely, but I would assume, and the same goes for FHM as WHO, that their conclusions are closer to the truth now than they were in March and April.
If their assumptions are that over a high threshold of cases, the risk for a snowball effect later on is far larger — then Tegnell’s opinion on that they are only seeing the results of increased testing isn’t truly applicable.
But now I’m guessing what they have based their assumption on, and they can absolutely have the wrong idea. But we do still have amongst the highest numbers of discovered infections in Europe, so I can see why it worry them as well as other governmental institutions in Europe.
But I also agree that I would much rather prefer the FHM and WHO to have an open line of communications for these things, because the FHM is the one holding the important data. I would rather the FHM had an open line of communication with a number of epidemiologists in this country as well — and I wish their secondary team they put together wasn’t only comprised of mathematicians for modeling.
