Putler har på nytt hållit sitt återkommande propagandaspektakel, där han i TV besvarat noga utvalda frågor från sitt skrämda och desillusionerade folk. Enligt
Helsingin Sanomats rapport lät hans röst knarrig, han måste harkla sig, och hans artikulation var inte lika tydlig som under tidigare år. Inte ens alldeles i tillställningens början märkte man något av despotens forna energiska framtoning. Och nere i bänkarna såg man att det var en gammal man med slapp hållning som satt där.
Publiken är tyst. Man ser på Kremls berättelse, men man stör den inte.

Han fick också frågor om befolkningskrisen, och var tvungen att medge att ryssarna inte ynglar av sig i den takt han önskat. Men i andra länder har man samma problem, sa han liksom för att trösta plebsen.
