In red you may see the movement of the Ruzzian army for 1 last year. In October of 2023 Ruzzian army started their attack on Avdiivka. Since that time the attacks are happening non stop. You might see that compared to the other Ukrainian territory the movement is not significant. But if we count losses (especially from the Russian army) it is a very big war with definitely heavy losses. Unfortunately Ukraine also lost lots of soldiers and army resources. Plus we see that for the last 2-3 months Ruzzians intensified their attacks and moved much faster. They were able to brake down the Ukrainian defence in many areas and stormed the weak spots. Unfortunately they will still have the initiative in the coming weeks before the cold weather. During the winter time Ukraine should receive more support and reorganise the army otherwise Ruzzians will have even stronger advantage the next year because it seems that they have all of the chances to occupy Pokrovsk (one of the main logistic towns in Donetsk oblast).
Hopefully Ukraine will be able to get the initiative on the frontline. It is still possible and we see how Ruzzia goes all in before USA elections. They can’t continue with this pace for a long time with the current resources.
