Rishi Sunak’s cabinet was due to meet on Thursday evening amid expectations of UK involvement in imminent military strikes against Houthi rebel targets in Yemen.
Ministers were scheduled to join a video call at 7.45pm, which was expected to discuss the UK response to recent attacks on ships in the Red Sea, including a barrage of rockets, drones and cruise missiles apparently fired at western warships on Tuesday.

I o f s är väl det kanske en betydande orsak, de har krigat i 8 år och ingen har brytt sig, varken liberaler eller vänsterhjon.
Men som du säger, hade de tagit handelsskepp för att kräva lösen eller liknande kunde man förstå om det fanns desperation, men att attackera är ju ett suicide mission.

Yemen’s Houthi rebel group has said that it carried out drone attacks targeting the Israeli port city of Eilat, as well as a commercial vessel in the Red Sea, as the Iran-backed group steps up attacks that it says are a means of pressuring Israel to end its war in Gaza.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels say they have launched a drone attack targeting two cargo vessels in the Red Sea, the latest in a series of assaults that have disrupted maritime trade as freight companies seek to avoid the area.
Houthi spokesperson Yahya Sarea on Monday identified the vessels as the MSC Clara and Norwegian-owned Swan Atlantic and said the attacks were carried out after their crews failed to respond to calls from the group.
