Putin beordrar styrkor att gå in i Ukraina - INVASION NU (2022-02-24)

Det vi kan konstatera är hur som helst att det verkar pågå en fullskalig attack vid Zaporizhia med anfall i tre olika riktningar. Staden Tokmak verkar vara ett av målen.

Vad är det för fordon som förstörts? Pratar vi spaningsfordon eller stridsvagnar?

Då du är så välinformerad kan du väl slänga upp alla dessa beryktade bilder då?

Med tanke på foliehattarnas frenetiska spridande av propaganda från ryska MOD måste det Vera full panik bland ryssarna?

Vi har ju sett det här förut varje gång ryssarna tvingas retirera.

Nu ska vi dock inte ta ut något i förskott. Nattens offensiv har varit massiv och Ukraina har haft vissa framgångar och striderna fortsätter nu på morgonen:

Så planen är antagligen att med alla medel försöka slå igenom den ryska försvarslinjen och i bakgrunden har man enl. rykten samlat en avsevärd stor styrka som då kommer att göra framryckningar.

Men allt detta sker med fruktansvärda förluster för Ukraina:

Sammantaget så tror jag att man satsar allt på ett kort här att till varje pris få till något som kan liknas vid en framgång. Särskilt så här en månad innan NATO sammanstrålar i Vilnius i juli. Ukrainas ambitioner ska man inte underskatta och jag skulle tro att man satsar på ett crescendo lagom till att NATO:s Exercise Air Defender 2023 (AD23) kommer igång den 12 juni.

Ja, det pågår bevisligen kraftiga strider både kring Bakhmut och kring Zaporizhia just nu.

Det är såklart alldeles för tidigt att säga hur det går.

En del ryska militär-bloggare skriver att det sker en massiva ukrainska attacker i södra Ukraina.

Var mer exakt är oklart.

Om Lill-Pelle sitter här under natten och spammar flashback med hysterisk ryss-propaganda så är det en tydlig indikator på att saker och ting inte går ryssens väg.

Svårt att hitta info men beroende på mer sansade källor och analyser (från båda håll) har ukrainska mindre nålsticksattacker börjat främst för att locka fram infantri och dolt artilleri. I vissa fall är man snabb på att dra sig tillbaka och låta sitt eget artilleri attackera.

"They are shelling non-stop" som en rysk soldat sa.

En påminnelse om att ryssarna ganska fräckt och dåligt fejkar ukrainska förluster är på sin plats också.
Som här där de med photoshop har tagit en gammal bild på en turkisk Leo-24A och en egen förstörd tank vilket de har manipulerad med hjälp av filter och sämre kvalitet där de påstår att det är en Leo 2 som nyss blivit förstörd.

Jag har som sagt en annan tolkning av situationen än att AFU besinningslöst offrar både manskap och materiell i meningslösa attacker längs ryska försvarslinjen som beskrivs av Mikael Valtersson här nedan. Jag tror att man är beredd på stora förluster då man till varje pris vill kunna slå igenom ryssarnas linjer. Väl där som kommer man att köra igång den verkliga offensiven och från turkiska källor kommer uppgifter om mycket stora truppkoncentrationer i bakgrunden:

ANALYSIS UKRAINIAN TACTICS MORNING JUNE 8
I must say that I'm both a bit confused and disappointed in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and their behaviour on the battlefield on the Southern front. There might be an hidden tactic that will be seen in the coming days, but what we have seen since June 4th doesn't look good.

I was very disappointed in the Russian Armed Forces in the beginning of the war and surprised of the combat prowess of the ukrainian forces. While awaiting the ukrainian counteroffensive I expected ukrainian forces to act and perform better than they have. I wonder if it's a case of underestimating the russian enemy. It seems like the ukrainian forces expected the russians to buckle under pressure and just abandon their positions. I can't explain the ukrainian tactic otherwise. They are attacking with wave after wave straight into minefields and russian kill zones.

Russians are often accused of using human waves while attacking, but now it seems that the ukrainians do the same against the russian defences. That's suicide if the enemy stays and fight. Even if ukrainian forces succeed in breaking through one defenceline due to local superiority in soldiers and weaponry they are losing the bigger game with horrendous losses. They must understand that, I'm sure of it. So the only explanation is that they underestimated their russian adversary and expected them to flee.

This underestimation is probably based on the successful information war from Kiev and the west claiming that russians are worthless fighters. That narrative seems to been so successful that ukrainian planners was convinced by their own propaganda that they just to kick in the door, then the entire rotten russian house would fall apart. This might have cost Ukraine any chance of victory this summer. But the chock of reality might cost Ukraine much popular support for the war effort, both in the West and even within Ukraine.

It's a bit ironic that Ukraine seems to repeat Russia's underestimating of Ukrainian capabilities and willpower from February 2022.

Så allt hänger på att Ukraina verkligen lyckas med sin offensiv. Annars tror jag att det är kört på riktigt alltså. Simplicius skriver så här och jag kan bara hålla med:

/.../The moment Ukraine launches an offensive of this magnitude, it will literally enter the final phase of its military effort, and the cessation of such attacks will be the clearest sign of Ukraine's final defeat.

Ukraine has no other choice but to win, otherwise, in the face of a war of attrition, its current 4 million people in the form of already drafted, killed, commissioned and mobile resources will sooner or later be exhausted.

All Russia needs to do is properly use its firepower and manpower reserves to prevent any attempt to push its group back.

Det är kanske ur det perspektivet man får se de senaste uppgifterna om en ev. NATO-intervention eller Coalition of the Willing där polackerna samlar andra NATO-medlemmars arméer för ett ingripande. Det är iaf vad som sägs man vill göra om NATO-mötet i Vilnius i juli inte bär någon frukt åt Ukraina. Vad som inte sägs är huruvida Ukraina då har haft några framgångar på fronten. Kanske är det så att man också fruktar att det kommer att gå illa för Ukraina och att man av den anledningen ser det nödvändigt att gripa in:
