Alexander Khodakovsky svarar Igor Strelkov i en rysk debatt som handlar om huruvida det är bra eller dåligt att ryssarna är så humana mot sina fiender. Jag håller 100% med Khodakovsky:
Citat:
Strelkov, with his usual sarcasm, writes:
“The Russian authorities can be proud:
even the most notorious Nazis, sadists and punishers are not afraid to surrender to them ...”
This is apparently a common point of view, but if I ask anyone who is fighting for real how he relates to the surrender of the enemy, especially in the conditions of our difficult war - he will answer: let them surrender - it will hurt us less. What does it take to make an opponent surrender, other than to force him to do so?
Today we talked for a long time with a very smart and competent general, with whose special forces we worked during the last weeks of the assault on Azovstal, and discussed the behavior of the captured enemy and our attitude towards him - a humane attitude that so hurts everyone who does not risk himself, and does not risk his personnel . The general says: how much the surrender saved the lives of our guys ... We would have crushed them in the end, but the losses would have been considerable. This is the general of the Russian special forces speaking, whose guys shared a common fate with us. And if the enemy does not show that measure of humanity that should be inherent in the victorious side in relation to the defeated one, then the enemy who has not yet been captured will have nothing to lose, and he will fight to the last, taking our lives with him, - those who turned on understand this pseudo-irreconcilable regime?
Yes, the Russian authorities can be proud of the fact that the Russian army is learning to take the enemy prisoner, thereby saving their own lives, and it is surprising that those who definitely consider themselves the most ardent patriots of Russia do not understand this.
