Väderprognoser:
Citat:
Stage 17, Embrun to Chorges, is only 32km but should not be underestimated with Cote de Puy-Sanieres at 1173m and Cote de Reallon at 1227m. The day will start dry and bright but the weather is expected to deteriorate through the day with a part cloudy to cloudy afternoon and some scattered thunderstorms likely. Temperatures cooling a little from previous days around 25 to 28C but again dropping into the high teens/low 20s Celsius over the highest points.
On Thursday, the 18th stage of the tour will commence from gap and climb nearly as high as 2000m when the competitors will climb Col de Sarenna at 1999m. This will be a tough stage as not only will the cyclists climb Alpe-d'Huez as part of the route, they will have to ascend the mountain a second time to complete the stage (172.5km).
Unfortunately it will be a rather unsettled day with rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. Temperatures will be around 25 to 27C but cooler around 17-21C over the higher routes >1000m.
Stage 19 on Friday will see little change in the weather with rain and scattered thunderstorms. The highest point of the day will be Col de la Madeleine at 2000m with Col de Glandon at a close second reaching 1924m. Temperatures over the highest points will be in the high teens to low 20s C but otherwise around 25-27C.

Risk för regn och åska för de som startar sent idag alltså. Åkningen ner för Alpe d'Huez ser ut att kunna bli kaoz!
