Ambassador's message

It is, indeed, a great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus to Sweden. Our intention is to provide information on the objectives of this Embassy, its activities and initiatives in Sweden and the other countries of our accreditation, as well as, on the policies of the republic of Cyprus on bilateral and multilateral issues. Furthermore, we give an outline on the perspective membership of Cyprus to the European Union and a brief analysis on the question of Cyprus. Lastly, we give information on consular issues and on other important aspects of life in Cyprus.

Cyprus, in its long march through the most turbulent times of history, placed democracy and the respect of human being in the hardcore of its endeavours. Today the same values govern its policies and aspirations, aiming at providing to its people, on the one hand, a democratic, prosperous and peaceful environment and on the other hand, contributing to the peace and stability in the region to a possible extent.
