Om man tillsätter bakpulver för att deprotonera heroinet och få det att konverteras till sin fribasform, varför bildas det koldioxid? Om heroinet agerar som syra och bakpulvret som bas, så borde väl isf det bildas mera kolsyra och inte koldioxid.

Bakpulver innehåller väl bikarbonat? Och tillsätter man en syra till en karbonat, som bikarbonat är,
så bildas det koldioxid. Är den löst i vatten så är det kolsyra, men blir det gasform som du ser i bubblor på en kolsyrad läsk bla, då är det koldioxid du har i bubblorna, medans kolsyran är löst i vattnet.
