UPDATE: Police have confirmed four people, two men and two women, have died on a ride at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast.
It is understood no children were killed with all of the victims believed to be over 32-years-old.
Initial indications are that there was a conveyor belt malfunction but this could not be confirmed.
The Courier-Mail has been told six people were on a Thunder River Rapids ride car when it capsized on a conveyor belt.
Queensland Ambulance Service acting senior operations supervisor Gavin Fuller said the ride had "sustained some sort of malfunction" causing two people to be ejected from the ride and two people to be caught inside the ride.
