Jag kollar på en dokumentär på engelska som handlar om bibeln och blir lite förvirrad om vem som är vem då namnen inte är desamma på engelska och svenska.
Kan någon översätta namnen på lärjungarna?

Simon/Peter/Cefas = Simon/Petrus/Kefas
Andrew = Andreas
James = Jakob
John = Johannes
Philip = Filippus
Bartholomew = Bartolomeus
Thomas = Thomas
Matthew = Matteus
James (2) = Jakob
Lebbaeus/Thaddaeus = Taddeus
Simon the Zealot = Simon Ivraren
Judas Iscariot = Judas Iskariot
Saul/Paul = Saulus/Paulus

Ett enkelt sätt att ta reda på sånt här är att kolla upp ställen och jämföra mellan t.ex. www.folkbibeln.net och www.biblegateway.com. Jag använde mig av Matt 10:2-4.

Tack. Hoppade in någonstans i mitten och såg att de ifrågasätter Bibelns inspiration och tillräcklighet. ATt göra det är att gå emot Kristus själv. Kyrkans trosgrundval är redan lagd, av Gud själv:

"Ni är uppbyggda på apostlarnas och profeternas grund, där hörnstenen är Kristus Jesus själv." (Ef 2:20).

Genom historien har Kristus och Skriften alltid angripits hetskt. Djävulen vet att om han bara får bort människor från Guds ord, då får han bort människor från djävulens besegrare och människors försvarsadvokat i himlen.
