Vad betyder 'through' i dessa meningar?

Jag förstår inte vad menas med "succumb through".

Det är inte ett partikelverb utan “through” är preposition:

and {may succumb} through {a small matter}

Ungefär: ... och kan ge upp för en bagatell ... / ... kan gå i golvet för en liten påfrestning ...

Ordet översätts "Genom" , sen hur du vill tolka det... det får du väl ta med en präst

Första meningen skulle jag tolka som "genomlida".
Andra meningen verkar handla om en "prövning"
Sista meningen verkar handla om att man skall ha överseende och vara ödmjuk samt att man skall bejaka det lilla i det stora och inte vara rädd för att framstå som löjlig. Ty all kärlek äro ärofylld! (kanske inte pedofili osv.. men men).
